Do I need something like a Griffin iMic to record my vinyl using CD Spindoctor or will it adjust for the RIAA curves? I have a line in on my MacBook Pro. Can I just plug my turntable (using a RCA>miniplug) into my line in?

You need to use a device to change the phono level to line level for use with Spin Doctor. I have an iMic but I don't think it has a phono pre-amp circuit. What Griffin does is provide Final Vinyl that has the phono equalization built into the software. You could use Final Vinyl to record the audio as AIFF and open that in Spin Doctor. I connect my turntable to a receiver that has a phono input and connect my Mac to the receiver's line output.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
