Update the firmware for your burner, and/or use a different type/brand of media.

The burn speed is determined by two factors: the slowest burner and the media. For example if you have two burners one of which is a 4x burner and a 16X burner, then EMC will only burn at 4X because the data is sent simutaneously at the SAME RATE to each burner.

If you have two 16X burners and insert a 4X rated blank disc, then EMC will burn at 4X because of the disc.

If both burners are 16x and the blank discs are rated at 16X, then EMC should burn at 16X. As Bruce points out, BOTH DRIVES should properly recognize the inserted discs, too. If for some reason you don't have matching drives and one drive recognizes the 16X blank disc as only 4X or 8X, then EMC will only burn at that speed.

Thanks for the replies.
I have updated firmware for my burners.
The issue is that each of them can burn at multiple speed as I wish 4X <-> 16X in Media Creator with no problem.
However, when 2 of them together, the only speed allow is 4X. unsure.gif
I test with Alcohol 120% trail edition and I can burn them at any speed I would like simultaneously.

Have you ever tried multiple burners and been able to select different speed for your burners?

As you can see, I have no problem. The blank disc is rated at 8X and Creator Classic defaults to the fastest burn speed. I even have two different brand of burners.

What application are you using? If you are using the HOME app, that could be you're problem.

Wow... laugh.gif
I have:
(F:) TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653B and (G:) PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-212D
Probably EMC 10 does not fully supports those burners?

Sir, what version of EMC you are posing from?
I am using EMC 10 under Vista Home Basic 32 bit

EMC 10 on WinXP Media Center Edition. The screen shot is from Creator Classic 10's burn dialog box. Which application are you using?
