Toast Video Player Issues... Don't play smooth

Anybody have any problems with Toast video player when viewing the AVCHD file .mts. Mine don't play smooth, but in iMovie 08 they play great. I have intel core dul 2 iMac with OS 10.4.11
Imac Intel 27" 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7, Sony SR11 camcorder, Canon Powershot 750 SD IS, Canon 7D, PS3, Xbox 360 HDTV, Western Digital 3 TB drives and Samsung Dual Monitors.
