I've got a Roxio MyDVD Project (.dmsd) that is slightly too big for a normal 4.7GB DVR-R disk.

At the very bottom right hand of the window, from the "Quality:" drop-down menu, I select "Fit to Disc".

Then I attempt to burn the project to a DVD by:  "File / Burn Project to Disc..."

However, in the "Burn Project" window, under "Disc", I get:

"Not enough space"
Capacity of current disc:  4706.1 Mb
Estimate Size of project: 4825.3 Mb

I can successfully burn the DVD if I select "Standard Play - SP", but I'd like to get better quality if possible from the "Free:  1424.2 MB" of space with the "Fit to disc" option.

Why is this option not working?  Is it a bug with the product?  Anyone else out there experiencing the same thing? unsure.gif

I find it's less trouble to burn to an image file and use the HQ setting.  Then use Video Copy & Convert to burn that ISO to your dvd.  It will then fit to disc for you.  Depending on how big your resulting file is, video quality may suffer.  I've found very good results with files as large as 7.3GB.
