I don't know about the stripped Basic Version, but try copying the files, from each DVD to separate folders on your computer. Then, try to capture the movie from each folder, using the Capture program. In the full version of EMC 7, the capture will be as an mpeg file.

You can then combine those two mpegs in DVD Builder and burn to a DVD.

Grandpabruce
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it looks like the Capture program isn't part of the Basic program.

thanks anyway

Sometimes copying the .vob file that contains the video to the hard drive and renaming it .mpg provides a workable file. It's at least worth a try.

Yes, I forgot that that used to work sometimes, in EMC 7.

Tried that by adding it to a video folder with the other movie. Didn't work. I guess I'm stuck with having to burn two DVDs. But it would seem that I could use multiple sources for a DVD just like I can for an audio CD. Oh well.......

Anyway thanks for giving it a shot.

Cheers

You can do that in EMC 10. You have the ability to make a 'compilation' of movies from different sources and burn them to one DVD.
