I just installed EMC10 and I am getting a little frustrated. The project runs through whole process just fine until it gets to the burning phase. The light form the DVD burner comes on for a few seconds the shuts off and the program displays the following message.
Failed to start the image writing operation Error while Burning Image
80004003 Errors while Aborting.
I have done all the things that all the other posts have suggested. I was running MyDVD Deluxe Suite but uninstalled it prior to installing EMC10.
I am using HP Invent and Maxell blank DVD.

My suggestions are:
1. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your burner
2. Burn to an image file first, then use Video Copy & Convert to burn that ISO to DVD (a bit more time needed but worth it IMO)
3. Try another brand of media. If you read much of this forum, you'll see Maxell (or Memorez) doesn't have many fans.

In addition to what Paul said, update the drivers for that Radeon video card/chip. Even though your problem isn't the same as the person in the following link, you could try what the person posting did, in Post #4 of the thread.
