I previously identified and posted  the procedure to print directly to discs using the HP D5160 printer for EMC-7 and 9.  Recently I purchased MYDVD10 Premier and like others discovered that once again the HP printers were left out of the label program. After a few days of trial and error I have found a procedure that works.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled MYDVD10 premiere to verify the process.   I hope it helps everyone here.  I suggest that you print this post to make it easier to follow

The following procedure will allow you to print directly to disc on the HP Photosmart D-5160 printer using Roxio's label Creator.
This procedure was figured out using the label creator provided with MYDVD10 Premier. I expect that it should also work with EMC-10.  The procedures were also done on Windows XP, therefore, it should work on Vista but file locations may be different.

You will be creating two page files (printing specs for labelor) using Microsoft Wordpad.

A:  Create First Page File Using Word Pad

1.  Open WordPad
      Depress Start
      Depress Run
      Type Wordpad
      Depress OK      (wordpad launches)

2.  In Word Pad  copy and paste OR Type (exactly) the following:

[Page Description]
/* Printer prefrences = (that line only)*/
Name= stringRef:HP-D5160 Not Printing Hub
Paper Height = 5.125
Paper Width = 5.125
Number of Views = 1
; 1 for print directly to disc
Print Type = 1

[View Info 1]
View Type = Disc

[Disc Info 1]
Offset = 6.323 6.425
Inner Radius = 2.05
Outer Radius = 5.8

3.  Save The file to the Desktop
      In wordpad Depress File
      Depress Save (Save Screen opens)
      In Save In Location select Desktop from Dropdown choices
      In File Name type:  HP D5160
      In File Type select Rich Text Format (RTF)
      Depress Save (save screen closes)
      In Wordpad Depress File
      Depress Exit

4.   Rename Saved File
      On your desktop locate the file  DP 5160.rtf
      Right Click on the file
      Select Rename (name highlights)
      Change the RTF  Extension to  JWP
              File name becomes   DP 5160.jwp

B:  Create Second Page File Using Word Pad

1.  Open WordPad
      Depress Start
      Depress Run
      Type Wordpad
      Depress OK      (wordpad launches)

2.  In Word Pad  copy and paste OR Type (exactly) the following:

[Page Description]
/* Printer prefrences = (that line only)*/
Name= stringRef:HP-D5160 Printing Center Hub
Paper Height = 5.125
Paper Width = 5.125
Number of Views = 1
; 1 for print directly to disc
Print Type = 1

[View Info 1]
View Type = Disc

[Disc Info 1]
Offset = 6.323 6.425
Inner Radius = 1.06
Outer Radius = 5.8

3.  Save The file to the Desktop
      In wordpad Depress File
      Depress Save (Save Screen opens)
      In Save In Location select Desktop from Dropdown choices
      In File Name type:  HP D5160 Hub
      In File Type select Rich Text Format (RTF)
      Depress Save (save screen closes)
      In Wordpad Depress File
      Depress Exit

4.   Rename Saved File
      On your desktop locate the file  DP 5160 Hub.rtf
      Right Click on the file
      Select Rename (name highlights)
      Change the RTF Extension to  JWP
              File name becomes   DP 5160 Hub.jwp

C: Move Page Files to Label Creator Page File Folder  (procedure for XP Vista may be different)

1.   Open My Computer
2.   Open Label Creator Page File Folder
        Usually in   C:\Program Files\Roxio\Label Creator 10\Page Files
3.   Drag DP 5160.jwp from desktop to Page file folder
4.   Drag DP 5160 Hup from desktop to Page File Folder
5.   Close Page File Folder
          Depress red X

D:  Start Roxio Label Program

E:  Design Label

F:  Print Directly to Disc on HP D5160 Printer

1.   In Label Creator  Depress File
2.   Depress Print  (Print Window Opens)
3.   In Print Window Printer Settings:  Select  HP Photosmart D5100 Series

NOTE:  If you have not previously done so,  Calibrate your Printer by depressing Calibrate and follow instructions
           My settings under the calibrate were TOP:  IJ  Bottom:  IJ  Left:  J   Right:  J

4.   In Print Window Printer Settings  Depress Properties (Printer Properties Window Opens)
5.   Make Printer Properties as follows:

              Print Quality:  Best
              Paper Type:   HP Inkjet Printable CD/DVD
              Paper Source:  CD/DVD Tray
              Landscape
              Size:  CD/DVD 120mm
              Print at Actual Size
              Show Preview Before Printing

6.   Depress OK (printer properties window closes)
7.   In Print Window Media Section Select Print to Disc from drop down menu
8.   In Print Window Paper Type Select on of the following from the drop down menu

              HP-D5160 Printing Center Hub        (will print to center spindle)
              HP-D5160 NOT Printing Center Hub (will NOT print to center spindle - Most audio CDs)

NOTE:  Print Windows Print Preview Screen looks bad. Ignore it.  This is why you selected preview before printing in printer properties.

9.    In Print Window Depress OK  (Window  opens telling you to load disc in printer unless selected don't show me again on previous job)
10.  Load Disc in Printer and depress OK  (Print Preview Window Opens)
11.  In Print Preview Window Depress Start Printing (window closes)

NOTE:  ON YOUR PRINTER  you may have to depress the flashing print button

That's it.  When you want to print more labels direct to disc just follow steps in Sections D - F.  If you are printing more than one label and haven't closed the label creator program, you may be able to skip some steps as the printer settings should hold (they did for me).

It should also be noted that I am using Memorex Printable DVD and CDs. However, this procedure should work no matter what brand of printable discs you are using.

ROXIO:   If you are not in some handshake agreement with EPSON preventing you from showing other print to disc printers feel free to use this procedure and/or page files in a future update. I know It will keep many of your customers happy.

Thank you ICC for your work. Roxio customer support states they only support Epson printers. I guess you have to buy new hardware Epson to go with software EMC10, and you have to buy new software EMC10 to work with your new hardware computer with Vista.

Anyway, I could not get your directions to work. Then it dawned on me you saved it as an RTF file and renamed the extension to jwp. Doing that did not allow it to show up in the drop down list. It continued to show only Epson.

Reopen the files and save them to the desktop as a straight TXT file. Rename those to jwp and move to Page Files. Now they will show up.

Again a really BIG THANKS.

Glad you finally go it to work. Hopefully, Sonic/Roxio will add support for more printers in the next version.

Work arounds are O.K. but I have to agree with Gary that Roxio needs to at least include the main line printer manufacturers in their labeling programs. The hard thing though to keep up with is how fast each of the manufacturers change printers that require different drivers, not to mention Vista.
