Thank you gi7omy for your response. I was unaware that this was a pirate KEY generator. I therefore assume that the EMC9 was also a pirated item. The disc came boxed packaged as new. I will be following up with the original supplier. I do not appreciate been ripped off and do not subscribe to pirated software. All of my software has been purchased boxed new.
In the meantime, I've re-installed my genuine original EMC7 and using it OK and now considering purchasing EMC10.

All Roxio products come with a printed 'one-off' key (either on a sticky label for you to put where you like or a label inside the case)

They never included a key gen.
