im working on trying to burn a 825 photo dvd on a double layer dvd disc. it does burn the photos but at the end i get message [ encoding preview. ] my d drive will read the disc but my e drive will not . disc will not read in any other computer. prior to this i had no problems. what am i doing wrong???? tom

Start by listing what optical drives you have in your computer, what process and program you used to burn the photos to a DVD, and what you are actually trying to do.

How are you burning the photo DVD to the disc - Drag 2 disc, Creator Classic or are you making a photo slide show? Unless those omages are really high resolution, I'm surprised that you need a DL disc.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

i am trying to make photo slide program using video wave , which i have used before with no problems i changed location of two pictures ,this is when the encoding preview showed up.
program roxio em creator 8 vidio wave

i made a photo slide show using roxio creator 8 video wave,the pictures are high resolution,this has been before with no problem . i moved two pictures and the problem encoding preview started.

Just curious. Are you using the slideshow assistant in video wave? If so, what transition? I've been trying to solve huge skips in a recorded dvd when I am able to get past encoding preview errors. Last time I tried, I got encoding preview errors on the first two tries - on the third try it recorded. I think there might be something to the reordering of slides in slideshow assistant that lobotomizes this software. What happens when you don't reorder slides and try to burn? Same result?
