Okay
I am new at this so bear with me.
I am trying to save a dvd to my hard drive.  When I open the capture and try to do this nothing appears.  I am able to play this video on my Cineplayer. This is not a protected file.
I also tried to use the Cinemagic, but when I try to open the DVD on the D drive it shows two files.  One VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS. Neither one of which is recognized as a video.
Sure hope I explained this right.

Where did this DVD come from a settop DVD recorder?

The DVD in question is it recorded on a - + RW disc?

First see if the disc is finalized in the recorder that made it, if not finalize it and try again. Does the recorder have a DVD Video recording mode?
