Why Won't It Burn! EMC 10 videowave production

I am (again) going insane. I made a videowave production at the end of April and burned it successfully to DVD. I always do it to an ISO file and make copies from there as that has got rid of previous gremlins. I've just finished a 12 min DVD with soundtrack, still photo's and transmissions and it will not burn. Gets to 25% and freezes. The whole computer is frozen! I've tried rendering in software and then hardware and it makes no difference. I did make a 2 min film to see if there was something in my content that it didn't like and that burned fine. Any suggestions most welcome.
I can't tell you make/model of the computer but it is an all singing all dancing one with up to date everything!
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never heard of that brand of PC!

Do you have a bought retail version of Roxio EMC 10, or one that came pre-installed on the "all singing all dancing one" PC???

Yes, more descriptive than the "all singing all dancing one".

When you went from 7 to 9 to 10, did you use the 'Clean Install Uninstall Instructions for Easy Media Creator 7.5, 8, 9, 10, on Windows XP' # 11 in my signature??

Click start, run, type in dxdiag and click ok. The DirectX Diagnostic tool display window opens.
Click the display tab, now list the info under device, and driver, version and date, please.

Hope that's what you meant!

Time to update that driver to this one. Make sure you follow all the instructions for installing the driver.

After you have done that, update DirectX 9c from Microsoft.

Try again and come back to tell us how it works now.

After you have done that, update DirectX 9c from Microsoft.

What is it and how do I do that?

I can only find directx 10.....?????

Have just installed it. Do I need to restart? Then should I try burning again?

It froze again at 14%
