Can someone please help me? I want to transfer movies from a VCR to my computer and then to a DVD. They are home movies, not copyrighted ones. I have Roxio Media 8 Deluxe and the dazzle connector.

You should be able to capture to your computer using the dazzle device.Once there use MyDVD to encode and burn them to an iso file.Once you've done this use Disc Copier to create the DVD by burning using the file.If you need more complete instructions let us know.If I'm wrong I'm sure someone else will speak up.

Does my vcr have to be hooked to a tv or can I just hook it straight to my computer? The dazzle hooks to a usb port and I saw something on here about a problem with that. I think they should get all of the bugs out before they sell these things, not after. I really don't see anything "easy" about this program. My computer has frozen up several times after I have worked for a long time getting files where I wanted them and then I lose it all. I will try what you said. Thank you very much.

Connect your VCR to the Dazzle card and the Dazzle card to a USB 2.0 port on your computer. It should work just fine.

Let us know how it works for you. I am waiting on mine, right now. When you capture, capture as an .avi file. It will be a large file but better quality than capturing as mpeg2.
