Sometimes Windows will not allow you access into some of your restored Folders.
(This does not apply to XP Home Edition or Vista Home Basic)
You have to retake Ownership of the folder. In order to do that you will probably have to change the default from "Use simple file sharing" by temporarily disabling it.
To do so, open Control Panel and choose Folder Options.
Then click on View and scroll to the bottom of the list. Remove the Check Mark and click OK.
Using Windows Explorer, right click on the Folder and select, Properties – Security tab – Advanced – Owner tab. Place a checkmark by "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects"
After you are done, don't forget to reset "Use simple file sharing".
