Divx And Avi?!

roxio wont support divx abd avi? this is the whole reason i bought it. please help.

It supports both of them, if you have the right codecs.

Most likely you need the xvid codec.  Simply google 'xvid codec' and you'll find what you need.

i have installed the codec and still nothing. when i try to open the files it displays them with a red cicle with a dash
though it.   (like the no smoking signs) the files play fine in divx too.

im sorry but i just realized i have roxio 9. can you still help?

Exactly which version of "Roxio 9" do you have, please? [Full name of the software suite, and did you buy it retail or get it supplied with a new computer or drive?]

im just a 14 year old kid tryin to get his torrent downloads to dvd for his dvd library. the program is call Mydvd 9 studio.
i ran my video files through gspot and they were all xvid. i guess thats a avi codec??? i dont know what to do.

MyDVD Studio is one of the deliberately crippled versions which actively block many of the most popular video and audio codecs.

Please read this thread to save me typing all my tests and results out again.

This product will not do what you want. sad.gif
