I have burned multiple dual layer videos from video-ts files & they complete the verification successfully.  However, when I play them back on any DVD player, they take a long time to load & always seem to hang up when they make the transition to the second layer.  Now I will admit that I am using Fry's Electronics in house brand of dual layer media (all other brands are way too expensive - I don't know why the companies are ripping people off so bad on dual layer media), but if it verifies successfully, then shouldn't it play correctly too?  Any input will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Verifying just confirms the validation of data transferred from source to target using your recorder which is able to read/write fine. However, it does not gurantee if your player is equally compatible with the media. I suggest spend a little more and get better branded media which works with the player.
