We use the custom hybrid option to burn dual format CD's, however it is classed as a legacy format this and because I had problems burning on a Leopard Intel iMac the temporary partition (Spotlight caused havoc) I have looked at the Mac & PC data option. This option is useful from the point of view of common files for the Mac and PC.
My problem is that we have a side bar picture that we include which I can access on the Mac and PC data option, however I cannot place the icons of the installer the manual install folder and the picture icon where I want them when the CD is doubled clicked. The files get hidden in the sidebar picture and the manual install folder and the picture file I want to place off the screen and the installer and the help pdf I want to place further across the screen.
I can do this using the custom hybrid, but there are problems with spotlight and burning it (I can get around this), however the ability to share files is a great feature - it would also be great to be able to place the files and folders where I want to - is this possible using the Mac & PC data feature

Yes, the Mac and PC format does support custom icon arrangement. Setup a folder the way you want it with the name of the folder being the name of the disc you want to burn. Add that folder into Toast and the icons should stay arranged the same way they are in the folder on your hard drive.

Thanks for the reply - I have tried what you have suggested, however the icon arrangement doesn't stick in the burnt CD - I have tried using the add button or just plain dragging the folder in icon view to the window - neither of these work
