I have been using version 6 for years and become very adept at the music CD burner, label creator, etc. Now, I recently installed 10 on a different machine and it seems like many of the features I am used to are GONE in version 10! Before I declare the migration a bust, maybe someone can give me some tips on ways I can take the shock out of my 10 experience to date. The things I miss most:

CD backgrounds - I had a favorite look I use for my back cover, now the images are gone and I haven't been able to figure out how to bring the images that were in 6 (i.e. "classic").

Playlists - I have a template that I've used in burning hundreds of CDs for my library. Now just basic things like the line spacing between the songs, line numbering etc on the list are vastly different and I can't see how to make them the same in the Label Creator for 10. And, how do I save my Playlists for use later? How do I import the Playlists built with version 6 on my laptop to be used on my desktop with version 10? Will I have to leave behind all the work I've done on my library and start anew?

It's like learning a whole new program! That's not why I bought the upgrade. I've been impressed by Roxio products up until now. It seems like the ease-of-use I've always been enamored with has been squeezed out with lots of features I have no interest in using. And I've read the posts here - they've made me glad I didn't try to install 10 on my old laptop... and I was considering doing just that to upgrade 6.

EMC 10 is not backward compatible with ver 6.x. You will probably have to recompile the playlist.

Version 6 was Roxio. Version 10 is Sonic.
