I have emc 7.5. The audio capture function doesn't load when I click it. All the other components work and it has worked in the past. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no success. I like recording
internet radio and don't know why it won't load. any help is appreciated.

More like 'did you 'upgrade' to Internet Explorer 7 and/or Media Player 11'?

If you did - uninstall them (you may have to do a clean install of 7.5 again tho)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Yes, they should go back to the previous version that you had on your computer. Scroll through the following link to find out how to uninstall WMP 11. IE7 can be uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs, with no problems.

It think IE7 becomes permanent with SP3… That is why I asked.

But maybe getting rid of WMP11 will be enough.

I have read specificly that if you install SP3 over IE 7, IE 7 is permanant. I don't know if SP 7 over SP3 can be undone - IE 7 isn't going to be on any of my computers.

(SP3 is on the reinstalled WinXP, so that's done - but I didn't put IE 7 or WinPlayer 11 in either the earlier or newer installation.)

That's MS speak for 'we don't know if it will or won't so we're going to tell you it will'

You may have to do a repair install but, to date, on any roll-back I have done on customers' machines hasn't needed it

However if you don't roll back, there's nothing we can do to help with EMC 7.5

One thing to try before you back up to previous versions of IE and WMP. Try opening the program from the Windows Start Programs menu (I think you'll find it there) If it opens, you can make a shortcut to it on your desk top.

Lynn,

It's reversible, but you have to uninstall SP3 and then uninstall IE 7.

I've ammended my post on uninstalling IE 7 to reflect the new requirements.
