Using Roxio 8 - i have done successfully before - converting cassettes to cd' - I am now unable to load " Line in" in the [ in put] window on the set up. Thus I can convert cassettes - but unable to get stereo - only mono - suggestions please!

If it worked before it's possible the fault is external

Check the patch lead and see if there is a break in that (mini jacks do fracture at the connection)

Check the Line in settings in Windows volume control (that the slider isn't set off to one side)

Also - check with a pair of earphones that the player is outputting in stereo (sometimes the jack connectors, if that is what you are using, splay and don't make a good connection
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Make sure you're using the Line-In jack, not the Mic. jack, which is typically a mono input.

Are you working on a laptop or a desktop PC?

(Oops... just noticed this is a rather stale thread.)
