If you try it yourself and can still get on the internet afterwards, please let us know what it does.

( I guess I need to look at SP3 a little closer to see what's in it. Haven't downloaded it myself. )

It's quite possible tho that SP3 has hit ECD6 in some way - remember ECD5 with SP2?

You can always roll back (SP3 does have an uninstall feature as far as I'm aware)

No, I haven't Brian. I think SP3 exists only to tie the user tighter with DRM protection, so nobody I know has felt the need to install it. I certainly haven't.

Hi, Thanks to all that replied to this question. I was going to update to SP3 but during that time my "computer tech" moved away, so I decided to wait and take Brendon's advice and stick with SP2 for now. I would have posted this A LOT SOONER but after I created this account, Roxio would not let me log in, not even after countless trys and password retrievals. Though I could not log in, they would still send me forum posts daily to my e-mail. It's a bizarre problem, and I don't know if I will be able to log in again after I log out today. fingers crossed.

Try Firefox - that works with no problems

Ahh, that's why. I'm still using IE6. Firefox sounds good but I don't want to experiment with anything until I find a new tech person. Don't want to mess with my already fragile system. lol
Thanks.

The only other option you have is to use a different computer.
I suspect it may be cookie-related; it'll go away after a while - I never timed it but I assume 30 days.

I have not had any problems with the roxio ECDC 6/ECDC 6 Platinum software to date. The computers that I built and use IE 7 do not have any problems either. One thing that may have helped avoid problems is that I downloaded and installed all of the updates that are available on the ROXIO website. The only problem that I do have is that Version 6 does not support some of the drives in the newer toshiba laptops.
Are there any work arounds or after market updates available for this?

EMC 7 was the first to fully use dynamic drive recognision instead of a database
