I am using Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7 and I am trying to copy a few of my tapes from my camcorder to a DVD.  When I click Direct-to-Disc and click the DVD option, it brings me to a screen where I am supposed to enter the title and specify a few other options.  I click next and it immediately brings up an error dealing with the camcorder.

The error reads:

"A video signal was not detected.  Verify that your video source is connected properly, powered on, and set to play.  Also, verify that the correct video capture port is selected in the record settings.  You may need to press play on your camcorder or VCR to view this video."

I am almost certain that I have connected everything properly.  The camcorder is a Sony Handyman DCR-HC32/HC42.

How is your camcorder connected to your PC? Are you using a capture card or what?

It uses the Handycam station, which plugs into the bottom of the camcorder.  A USB cable then plugs into the station and goes to the computer.  The computer recognizes the camcorder, just the MyDVD seems to have a problem recognizing it.
