I seem to have an issue when I attempt to do "nearly" every action with EMC7 i get hungup. The homepageapp.exe is using 40-60% cpu but will not load the program. After researching here a bit, i gathered since i have IE7 AND WMP11 installed then that is likely the problem. I can't rationalize that uninstalling this is the only workaround (i hate workarounds). I can't even think about upgrading to a newer version if the support for Roxio products that are still very usable, even by software standards, is this terrible. Whats to say that IE8 (eventually comming) will bust EMC10 if it even works with IE7? Since EMC7 is busted, i am fearfull to WASTE my money in hopes that it will even work. Ok, after a long rant, heh....
Can i get EMC7 to work again without uninstalling IE7 (wouldn't miss it) and WMP11 (i would miss it since its the only thing able to rip my MP3's now that Roxio doesn't function)? Help!!!???

It's a whole lot easier to uninstall IE 7.
Before you upgrade to version 10, make certain that your computer meets the minimum hardware specifications for that program.

Better yet (the 'minimum' specs are a joke) - take whatever is said and double it
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
