I needed a dvd decoder, so I bought the Sonic CinePlayer dvd decoder pack.  Well, all dvds freeze about a minute in.  I thought this was supposed to work with Windows Media Player :-(  Using media player 11, and yes, I've un-installed and reinstalled both the WM11 and Sonic CinePlayer stuff.  All drivers and firmware is up to date too.

Are you using Vista or XP?Which version did you buy?
I'm just wondering if the XP version works with WMP11 since 11 is really a Vista app back ported for XP.

Do you wanna hear me beg you to take me back?
I'd gladly do it because....."

Don't think the decoder has any restriction on playing the DVDs. If you go from receiving the error message that you need a decoder to not having the error message and can see the video, I would think the decoder does its job. Try to play a mpeg2 files that's longer than 1 min and see if you can play it.
