This is what I get before the project is completed in the window Burning - Analyzing project

internal software error: \build\DVDit_apprel63\Code\DVDit_App\DVDCreator\SWVideoCodec\libraries\M2VFrameEncoder.cpp, line 165 -2
Illegal mode and size for DVD.

Size on DVD: 4.46GB (Window Project Settings)

How can I solve this.
Is there no way to analyze the project before transcoding, this would save a lot of time?

Thanks in advance,
Geert Geerits

Geert,

What is in your project that is failing?  Clearly sounds like there is a bad piece of media in there.  DVDit parses headers upon import, and tries to determine legality from that, but it does not parse an entire stream which would take a long time.  What are you feeding DVDit?

Hi Scott,

The error happens after transcoding the video and audio.

I 'm using MPEG2 program streams (1 VID + 1 AUD)
1440x1080i, 25 frames/sec, Top field first, CBR 25000 kb/sec, PAL
Audio = MPEG-1 layer 2, CBR 384 kb/sec stereo
Size = +/- 16GB
They have been fused from Avid Liquid HDV video.

I used that kind of streams before without any problems for burning to DVD and blu-ray.

I am not sure, but I think it may be choking on your MPEG audio...maybe a result of updating the audio decoders in the application.  can you change your pinnacle output to AC3 or PCM?  If you want to get me a small test sample of your stream I would be happy to have it checked out.

Hi Scott,

I made a 5 second test sample (15.3 MB).
How can I mail it to you?

I rebuild my project and no more errors.
It was maybe a corrupt project.
