This is the forum for Copy & Convert 3, so you'd be better off in one of the EMC forums depending what version number you have.
That aside, it is usual for files written to a CD or DVD to be 'read only'. It takes a special [non-standard] writing system and a lot of fiddling to make them otherwise. In real life, if you want to edit a file on a disc you need to read it off the disc, edit it on the computer, and then write it freshly to the disc.
