I just installed Roxio 10.0 from previously using Roxio 7.5. I am trying to do a slide show in Videowave where I want to use the fireworks that splash the screen as an overlay on an image. But when I am in Videowave and select "add overlays" (add all) I don't see fireworks or the other overlays that I came to appreciate in 7.5. I see art, binoculars, birthdays but not nearly as many as Roxio 7.5.
Did my installation fail (it stated that the Contents CD was installed)? Am I doing something wrong? Or did Roxio decrease the number of Overlays over the past few updates.
Thanks for your response !!

Added some and removed some.
Number of overlays - about 37.
Make your own if you want fireworks. There is spotlight however as an effect.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Sorry, some overlays were dropped and new ones added. I believe all the overlays in EMC 10 are now still images.

If you still have version 7.5, you can reinstall it and it will work with V 10 and Vista ( although certain features won't work - like DVD Builder )
Then make certain your folder view in Windows allows you to see hidden files. The fireworks and other animated overlays are in a c:\Program Files\ Roxio\ Easy Media Creator 7 \ Content\ Overlays.
You could add it to the Overlay track in the Timeline in EMC 10 just as you would any other video. However, you'll have to adjust the transparency so the original video will be able to be seen and that might not be satisfactory.
Your other option is to start the video in VideoWave v 7.5 and add the features you want from that program, then output that production as a video file ( in the same format as your original video ) and continue the editing the new video in V 10.
The VideoWave portion of V 7 seems to work under my Windows Vista and if you're still using WinXP and Internet Explorer 7, the same instructions should work.

It's too bad that the features were removed. Thanks for all of the information!!
