I tried to burn my four-minute test project. No matter I clicked on Burn Disc, Write Volume, Write Disc Image, or Write Master, I got the same warning message:
There are one or more problems with your project that may cause DVD to play back incorrectly on some DVD players:
- There are orphaned menus and/or titles which do not linked to anything.
- (Menu 1)
To ensure that your disc plays back on the widest range of players, you should address these items prior to burning. Would you like to output project w/o fixing these issues? Yes, No?
Please help. Thank you very much in advance.

if you right click on menu one and make it the first play, that error should go away. creating an end action from one of your titles back to menu one should also make that error go away.

Since you are making a "test" project,
here is one way to do it:
step 1: create a menu (this will make it the "first play" item)
step 2: add video to your project
step 3: add buttons for each video to the menu created in step 1
For each video, if you check the end action, it should go back to the menu created in step 1.
If you create another menu and have no way for the user to get to it, you will get that error message.
SS Scott suggestion will probably make everything work for you. If you added a video to your project first, it would default to "first play".
Then when you created a menu, the user can not get to it ... unless you link the end action of the "first play" to the menu.
For a lot of people, the "menu" should be the "first play"
I hope this helps ( and doesn't make it more confusing)
