I'm trying to burn a DVD using MyDVD 10 Premiere. Using TDK DVD+R media. At about 23% burn completion I get the following error message in a pop up window:

"Videowave 10 has encountered a problem and needs to shut down."

My only option is to shutdown the program and relaunch. I don't know if videowave is part of MyDVD10 or something else. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

In Premier do you have the option to burn (encode) to an ISO file or to encode to folders? If so, try that. If you make an ISO file, you can use any copy program (Creator Classic or Video Copy and Convert) to copy that ISO to a disc.

If the project doesn't encode to the ISO file, there is something in your project that the program doesn't like -- what's going on in the project at about 15 to 30 percent of the timeline.

Often it is connected with a bad transition, transition timing, or audio file. Remember no DRM protected music (from an on-line store). Wav files are the best but most mp3 can be handled.

One last thing, in MyDVD, go to the top menu and select tools, then options and put the dot next to software. Note that you will lose any 3D transitions you have put int the project. Usually the wrong setting will crash the program and not give you the error message.

EDIT - I just noticed that you have the video /slide show editing program Video Wave. Did you make your individual titles (projects) in that program? If so, you can trouble shoot better. Put each project into Video Wave and then select to output to a mpg2 for DVD, best quality file. The program will hang and you will be able to see where. If they encode, then you just add the mpg2 files into MyDVD.
