Do you have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed or .NET 3.5?

XP using .NET SP1 appears to have removed a needed file milcore.dll. You must have installed .NET 3.5 sp1 yourself.
Try finding that file on the web somewhere and place into the windows\system32 directory.

I had the same problem. However, I found that I oculd open each of the applicaitons individually from the start menu without a problem. It was just the suite that would crash. I went through and opened each one and then was able to open the suite. However, after rebooting, I had the same issue. The individual apps still worked.

Can you try taking the system offline (disconnect from internet) and see if you still experience this crash.

GOING OFF LINE AND CLEAN INSTALL DOES NOT WORK. THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO WHEN YOU FIRST LOAD ROXIO CREATOR 2009 ON YOUR COMPUTER IT ASK YOU FOR THE SERIAL WHEN YOU PUT IT IN THEN IT STARTS TO LOAD NET 3.5 ON TO YOUR COMPUTER BUT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE NET 3.5 SP1 ON YOUR COMPUTER IT WILL NOT LOAD NET 3.5. AND ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS WILL NOT LET YOU DELETE NET 3.5 SP1 SO THIS IS WHAT I DID A FRESH INSTALL OF WINDOWS XP . AND WHEN XP GOT FINSH LOADING THEN I GOT THE INTERNET AND WENT MICROSOFT AND DOWN LOADED NET3.5 NOT 3.5 SP1 REMEMBER THE KEY IS NET.3.5 . AND THEN I REINSTALLED ROXIO CREATOR 2009 AND THIS TIME WHEN LOADS IT WILL NOT INSTALL NET 3.5 IT WILL GO TO DIRECT X AND THEN FINSH LOADING WHAT IT NEEDS TO LOAD AND WHEN ROXIO 2009 FINSH LOADING IT WILL ASK YOU RESTART YOUR COMPUTER . AFTER IT STARTS WINDOWS XP THEN CLICK ON THE ROXIO ICON ON YOUR DESKTOP AND THEN A ROXIO LOGO WILL APPER ON MIDDLE OF YOUR COMPUTER SREEN. THEN ROXIO WILL LOAD. AND NO MORE CRASHING ON START UP. SO PLEASE WHOEVER FOLLOW THESE INSTRUTIONS WILL NOT GO WRONG. PS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS. THANKS SCRUFFY.

PoweredbyLaser and Thegreat5o have both said that it is due to the missing DLL that the .NET SP1 is responsible for removing…

No need to do what you did, merely replace the milcore.dll and away it goes.

Check your CAP LOCK it appears to be stuck.

Also i can open the individal Applications fine just the Main App does not open it really weird i tried reinstalled many times also i am using Windows Xp SP3 and i got .net 3.5 SP1 please help. This one is different from the one above because its not missing the milcore.dll file that others have reported so far it has something to do with initial image format. Can any of the gurus in this community help??????

I would really appreciate it, & thank you in advance

You should start a new topic stating your problem since as you said it is different from this thread. Hijacking a thread with a non-related problem is considered mad.gif
