Hi,
I have the same problem as NIKONDEL...I start the software that was preloaded into my Dell laptop XPS M1530, bought last April, and it shows "no drives detected" message.
The operating system is windows Vista Home Premium
Software says "Roxio Creator Premium" version 9.0.116
Drive is listed as "FUJITSU MHY2160BH"
The roxio site is showing no upgrades listed for me, and I don't see this version "Roxio Creator Premium". What gives, why preload software that is not compatible with the operating system???
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks

FUJITSU MHY2160BH is a Hard Drive, not a burner.

Do you have a burner drive? Efforts to get the specs suggest a BD drive (I don't know if that is burn or read), but apparently the info is in something like Flash, which I block as much as my adblocker can block it.

Since your software came with your laptop, it would be OEM [Original Equipment Mfgr], and when a company contracts to use OEM software, they also contract to support it. So you might try contacting Dell, or using the Dell Community Forums ( http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums...ory.id=inspiron ). It appears the drive might also be OEM, since it is Dell-specific in google.
Or someone here might have an idea.

Thanks...I'll check there. Appreciate the information, I didn't realize that...I had contacted Dell about another issue and they said because I bought at Best Buy I had to contact them.

You are confusing us! In your first post you say the software came pre-installed and now you are saying you bought it at Best Buy
