what other info do you need. the os is vista premium. i open creator basic v9 open the video menu and click create dvd. creator basic then drops down as if it is going to be replaced by the appearance of my dvd but instead creator basic reappears. if i go straight to my dvd i click on it to open it and nothing happens. i have norton 360 version 2.0 could that be blocking it from opening?

Norton 360 and other similar registry cleaners have been known to cause problems with V9 but I'm confused. Do you have more than 1 version of v9 installed?
You may have to contact the mfgr. of your computer as it's an OEM version and support should come from them. However, posting here might yield you some help.

both roxio creator basic v9,roxio my dvd v9 and roxio express labeler were all preinstalled on the pc when i bought it. they have all worked fine until todays problem. i had norton 2007 for 2 months and then i got norton 360. it never caused any problem but last month it updated to version 2.0. i dont know what you mean by the term OEM version.

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer or, stripped down cheap version that comes pre-installed on systems. They may be good for average users but not for those who want/need more from software. Usually these versions are crippled in some way so you will want to purchase the full version (which most should do).
I can only suggest trying a repair install and consulting the system manufacturer.

You have a OEM version [Original Equipment Mfgr], and you need to contact the supplier, (in your case the PC) who supply ALL support for their program when they bought the rights to use it. Usually OEM versions have less functions compared to the Full retail version.

If you haven't changed anything else on the computer except the update to version 2.0, then I'd check the Norton website Support.
As stated above, it's possible that the newer version of the software has caused a conflict and it's blocking MyDVD from opening.
The above suggestions are all good, but if nothing else has changed but the Norton, I'd start with their tech support to see if it might be blocking the program.
