I have Raxio Creator 9 DE and am trying to find how to create an Enhanced CD (or CD Extra), can anyone help?

I've looked under help and all it does is give a definition of what an Exhanced CD is.

Thanks.

You have an OEM stripped down version, however…

In Creator Classic there should be a button under Other Tasks – CD Extra Disc Creator.

The CD Extra and Mixed Mode CD's will be gone in later versions. Start looking for another way.

If they will be gone from future Roxio software, you'll need to look for different software in the future sad.gif

Sorry to be dim, but where would I find Creator Classic?

Also, why would they get rid of support for Enhanced CD? Is there a new format that does both data and music paritions on the same disk?

PS: Thanks for such a quick response

Since you have the DELL EDITION you might not have Creator Classic.  Explore all your menus, especially around the Data menus to see if you can find it. If not, it has been cut out of the Dell Edition.

Why get rid of support for the enhanced CD? Jim says it's going, but I can't imagine why they would want to do such a silly thing. It would drive users who make enhanced CDs to buy other competing products.

None of us have seen the DE version try looking for it in either the Home app or All Programs

Why?

To be blunt – there are perhaps 2 questions a year about it since it disappeared. Not really on the best seller list…

Edit: I'll poke around some, maybe I am missing another way to do it…

Ok, thanks, clearly Dell have ditched the Classic bit. Oh well, looks like an upgrade (or if unsupported an alternative product) is in order. Ho hum.

Thanks again for your swift reponses.

Correction!!!

In EMC10 and 2009 the ability to write an Enhanced CD was moved to Music Disc Creator.

Kinda hidden there, you add songs to your Music CD then go under File – Project Settings and there is a check box for "Add data folder to disc" Check it and there is a browse button.

You can only add one folder but I suppose you could pack it with other folders…
