In the bottom right corner of the application, just above the red "start" button, there's a dropdown of values from 128MB to 8GB. What is this for? I didn't see anything documented in the manual.

My best guess is you can set how much memory you want it to consume while encoding, but my system only has 4GB. And if this is true, is it even applicable if I'm using a turbo.264 for the encoding?

Any ideas? Thanks!

The target sizes were originally designed to be used to output to iPod shuffle/nano/mini etc. It shouldn't matter if you have a designed that can take larger sizes then mentioned.
