Hello: I would like to playback my Slideshow DVD (Videowave) on an HDTV with a standard DVD player. I used high-res photos and would like the highest quality viewing possible.
My output settings now are ... Purpose: DVD Playback and Video File Quality: MPEG-2, BEST Quality.
Question: Would I get any viewing advantage with any other output settings? For instance, if I chose ...Purpose: High Definition and File Quality: MPEG-2 HD 1080, would I see any difference using my standard "upscaling" DVD player?
Thanks for your suggestions, Wayne.

It all depends on your source file. Garbage in = garbage out.
Eitherway, when burning to a DVD, the source content will be either upsampled or downsampled to meet DVD spec. Or does you DVD player play mpeg2 files without having to author video to DVD?
