Forgive me for my knowledge on camcorders but does a DVD-RW disk need to be finalized to be able to watch it on my computer even if the USB is connected to my computer, thank you for your comments and advice

Your best source of information is going to be the camcorder manufacturer's website. Most of them have a list of frequently asked questions and your question is probably on their list.
