Very Low Volume.... Recording from Sound Card

When I record from soundard (no matter what the source is) the recording volume is:

I. Very LOW
II. High frequencies are amplified, while the low (bass) very low.

The initial recording volume (listening) is OK

Any ideas?

What application within the EMC 10 program are you using.
