I am trying to find software that will allow me to take 4 avi files, and burn them to a dvd in quad screen view, with audio from one of the files.  Does anyone know what will do that?  I was told that Roxio had such a software, but have not been able to find it.
Thanks
Chad

Roxio EMC 9, 10 and the new Creator 2009 versions will definitely allow you to burn 4 avi files to a DVD when produced in the Videowave program and burned in MyDVD program, but as far as i know there is no option for it to do it in a "quad" screen.

If by quad screen you mean having the screen divided into 4 quadrants and each quadrant show a different avi movie, then yes that can be done with any of the version Frank mentioned in his post using the overlay tracks. You can also have only one of the audios audible..
It certainly cannot be done with Copy and Convert since it requires an editing program

Thanks for the help.  Which of the three pograms would be the easiest for my customer to use?  They will use this regularly to take 4 camera videos, and merge them together on a dvd disk, (as 4 quadrants) to see each of the four cameras at the same time.  I need to find something simple to use.
Thanks again.

It depends what you mean by simple rolleyes.gif Despite the use of "Easy" in older version it isn't for beginners. glare.gif
They will definitely require some hand-holding at the beginning and they will have to have some knowledge of "video work"
There is no major difference in the use of the 3 version (if any at all) so you might as well get the latest which is Roxio Creator 2009. The others are no longer being "sold" by Roxio.

Sorry in advance.  I don't know anything about Roxio, and I don't do any creating or editing myself.  So, I will need some hand-holding as well.  Does the 2009, allow you to drag and drop, import files, or how do I get the four avi files to appear together with the software?  When you look at the interface, does it make sense? Or is it a huge ordeal to accomplish this.  By "EASY", I kind of mean, 5 minutes, once you see how it's done?  Or, 2 hours as a professional video guy?
I don't understand why the recording software for the camera systems don't allow this to happen?  They allow me to play-back the files in  a quad view, but they won't let me  record as a quad?
Thanks again,
Chad

I don't know anything about the cameras you are talking  that "allow" quad views. Perhaps you are talking about something completely different then what I am talking about.

What do you mean by "quad view"?

We have 4 IP cameras.  We have a recording software from Panasonic, which allows you to view and record the four seperate ip addresses on to the same screen.  And later go back to review etc.  When we actually want to keep video permanantly, we burn it to a dvd.  The problem is that the 4 files are stored onto a dvd one file after the other. I need to burn the 4 files on the same screen; so when we play the disk back it views all 4 cameras at the same time.  IE:

cam1               cam2

cam3               cam4
