All the programs that you have mentioned work fine for most people, obviously you have problems.
Moving up to the new Creator 9 is not going to resolve your problems, so lets get back to basics.
What Operating System do you have XP or Vista ?
What Roxio or Sonic programs do you have presently installed on your system ?.
If MyDVD 6.2.0 was working ok, why did you change .

myDVD10 is a program withing the EMC 10 package. I have no crashes or bugs with EMC 10. As ogdens says you seem to have some problems with your system that upgrading to another system will not solve. You have not given any system specs at all so its impossible to make suggestions.
I doubt very much that you will be able to open any myDVD6.2 projects in myDVD10.

I was not the only one that could never get Creator Suite 10 to ever work on video projects without crashing as I spent a lot of time going through the Roxio Community researching it. And as I was upgrading directly from a link within the prior program I had thought I'd be able to have continued working on the same projects. But this is not a huge issue with me, I just want to find a program that can work for me and I really like the Roxio designs overall (I've used Pinnacle and others) but just wish one would work for me personally.

MyDVD 10 is a "family" of boxes which have been diced-and-sliced from the main application, and have various abilities.
There is a table of their abilities and prices on this page of the Roxio site, which might help you in your choices.

According to that ad, Roxio Creator 2009 contains myDVD10 Premier.
I wonder if anybody at Roxio/Sonic has any idea what is going on

What version of Easy CD and DVD do you have. Go into Help then click on About this software.

Thanx Brendon, I will check them out some more! I guess I was just wondering what people thought of the different newer programs. I myself am looking for something stable, where I can bring in video files from DVD-Rs I have burned from old tapes using a stand-alone burner, edit video files a bit, and some credits maybe, and then design menus for them. Also, when burning the projects to disc, I want to be able to fit them to the size of the disc as to preserve the highest bit rate. Outside of that I don't need anything too fancy, just one that works! If anyone can reccomend one of these that they've used I'll give Roxio another try.
I have version 9.0.554. I realize it is a very limited program but it is pretty good for making music CDs. But when making video prokects it has 2 major limitations: 1 is you can't save the project and if the program crashes you have to start over! The other is that if the video files are coming from a DVD of any sort (even if it is a DVD-R with your own material on it) then the final project will have no sound. So for me that renders the program useless. It's too bad because outside of that it'd be great to have a smaller, faster way to make DVD-Rs with menus. Oh yeah, the menu designs all have pre-programmed background music and to change it you have to work around the programs design and it is a real pain.

I don't believe that the "2 major limitations" you state actually exist but the problems lies with your setup.

I dunno... it really is a very stripped-down program. I am sure there's no way to save a movie project.

Horrorwitz acknowledged its severe limitations from the get-go, earlier in this topic. It's just I don't think Walt realized that Horrorwitz had the RedBox version.

The user at one time had EMC 10, maybe we should have him try the old "clean install" routine and try to get that going for him.

I believe I tried that before with EMC 10 although I do appreciate the help and all. But I'd be willing to try one of the newer programs.

Do you mean you can't even save your project and work on it again tomorrow?
