Wow, just had to sign up to this forum to say how terrible this piece of software is. It came preinstalled on my dell and though I formatted to get rid of all of the dell junk I must have reinstalled EMC 9 at some stage, just to quickly burn a few cd's, didn't pay too much attention to the install.
Now using my computer intensively I couldn't figure where all of my memory had gone! Lo and behold, two roxio processes, one idling at 80 mb on my user acc and a further 80 mb on the system acc, another idling at a further 80 mb on the system acc, all loaded at startup and doing nothing...
240mb to idle in the background!!!!! Come on! I'm running a virtual machine on less ram than that!
Rant over. Folder watching disabled, just need to share that figure of 240mb for a redundant service.....

You didn't even know you installed software? "there's your sign!"
A bit of searching on these forums would have solved your problem quickly.

Don't worry about it. You have a stripped down OEM version of the software, anyway.
Have you actually used the terrible software for anything? Did you like what you saw?
Life is good!

There's one for the books
Some people struggle to install the software. This gent can do it and not even know he's doing it.
