I have EMC 9 running on Windows XP. I am getting a permanent message saying that the up-dating  task I am attempting needs me to insert the original installation disc
1. I am not attempting to update my Roxio software. and never have, and
2. The software came pre-installed on my Dell computer, and I have no original disc.
No matter what I do, including clicking "cancel", this message remains on the screen, and is seriously hampering both opening and closing down Windows. The only way to close down the computer now is to crash out. Can anyone help?
David

Contact Dell.

The "solution" would be a Clean Install and for that you will need the disc…
