Hello,
I recently upgraded my 20" iMAC G4 from 10.3 to 10.4.6 with Toast 7 installed. I burned two dvd-r's on my superdrive of backup data from 10.3, including my ibackup file, prior to installing 10.4. I mounted the disks upon completion of the burn to ensure that they would work.
Now, When I insert them into superdrive, nothing is read, and the disk is ejected.
I need some help. Is this something to do with 10.4 or Toast? If I load a DVD movie, everything works fine, but not a Toast created DVD with the files. Yet, the Toast DVD's work in my LG DVD player.
Thanks.
Steve

My best guess is something went wrong with the OS install. Did you use the 10.4.6 combined updater to go from the original 10.4.x install to 10.4.6? If not, give that a try on top of your existing 10.4.6. Applying the combined updater sometimes fixes issues that pop up after a system install or incremental update. Also, check the Apple support site to see if they issued a firmware update for that superdrive.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
