i am using my roxio 10, just bought it but i have a problem.
when i try to use the video wave section, it gives me the following errors
" There is insufficient graphic capabilities to use this.
this can be caused by:
your video card drive may not fully support direct 9.0, says i need to download drivers.
your video card may not be sufficient for full dirct 9.0, say i need to upgrade my card."n
however i have used roxio creator 7 and it worked well with video wave and uploading transitions and videos;
has someone ever seen this error before. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! angry.gif

Did you update your video card? Did you update the video card drivers?
Just because EMC 7 work does not mean EMC 10 will work. After all EMC 7 is 4 versions "old".
What are your system specs especially your video card?

Not knowing what video card you DO have (you did sort of forget to mention that) it's almost probable that you will have to get a better one.

Unless you are using a laptop, you can replace the existing video with a new one - not looking over your shoulder I can't say whether your system supports AGP or PCI-e (or doesn't even have a video slot in which case you will need an ISA card)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Actually it's pretty hard to answer your question if we don't have any idea of what hardware (especially your videio card) you have in your computer. BTW, just because you get that error regarding your video card, doesn't mean that the program Videowave won't work. If you just by-pass that error you will find that most of the program works fine. It's just that there are a few templates and transitions that you won't  be able to use. 3D transitions are probably the ones that your video card you have now can't handle.

Try updating your video card drivers first (as suggested) and if that doesn't help then a newer video card would probably be a good choice.

I'm 99% certain that graphics chipset just can't handle the processing needed for Videowave - if it's a laptop, you're stuck I'm afraid

You could try software rendering (from tools) but even then it mightn't work
