i recently baught the new roxio version 8 now it doesnt see my dvd drive even if i try to drag and drop the audio tracks from the drive in to the project it ejects my cd from the drive and asks me to insert a cd??

I would suggest running the utility in the link below.  This should correct the filters for your drive, allowing the Roxio software to use it.

If you are still having this issue after using the patch, confirm that you can read this audio CD through Windows My Computer.
