I have used mac and ripper to rip dvds to the vob format that popcorn can then compress/burn. I would LOVE to get audio only from some of my concert dvds in to the mp3 format. My ultimate goal is to burn audio cds of the audio tracks from dvd concerts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Popcorn isn't the application for this. You could use Toast but I'm particularly fond of Cinematize 2 for extracting audio files on a chapter-by-chapter basis. The tracks are saved as AIFF files which iTunes can encode to MP3.

If you don't want to pay for Cinematize then I suggest posting your need in the Mac forum at videohelp.com. There may be someone who has found a way to do this easily with a lesser-cost application.

You can save individual chapters as AppleTV movies using Popcorn and then extract just the audio with QuickTime Pro. Then use iTunes to convert it to MP3.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
