That error looks like the installer is having trouble reading from a temporary folder on your hard drive. Run a drive cleanup to get rid of temporary files, and defragment your hard drive before trying to install again.
Another method after cleaning and defrag, is to copy the CD to a folder on your hard drive, and once that's done run SETUP.EXE from the starting folder where you copied the CD to.

Brendon

If there is something broken in your installed version, just uninstalling/reinstalling won't necessarily repair/replace that.
Try the version 9 clean uninstall process [click here] as long as you're using XP, since Easy CD and DVD Burning has a lot of version 9 in it. Following this process as closely as possible should get all the broken pieces out and give you a clear run at a clean fresh install.

Ever wonder why we ask for as much detail about your system and software as you can give us, on your first post??
Use this KnowledgeBase article for a clean uninstall in Vista.

Thanks so much for your help. Tried everything you posted and it didn't work. Reloaded operating system. Then reloaded copy and convert now works like a charm. Don't ever think that you help is not appreciated. Because I appreciate you

It would be excellent to know just what is going on inside there, wouldn't it. Now the Operating System and software suites have gotten so big and complicated we're down to blunt instruments such as reinstalling [several times] to make things work
Thanks for your feedback.
