Do you have a blu ray burner or blu ray read only device?  Did you get playback software with the device?

I can probably guess that no one knows what is going to be in the next version at this point.  Probably a lot of like to have but is it a need to and more importantly will they pay for it?

When you refer to this product, please use the Creator 2009 designation to keep it separate from EMC 9.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Creator 2009 can't playback COMMERCIAL Blu-ray discs only.  It can play back any Blu-ray disc that you make with the software.

I think part of the reason here is down to the studios implementing HDCP (high-definition content protection)

This has been ongoing for some time (and was complained about even when Vista was released). Check this article for more info:

It's all down to licensing - why Roxio/Sonic didn't get a license is something none of us here can answer.

Ever since MS got in bed with the studios, the tightening of DRM on PCs under Windows has become horrendous

We are users just like yourself so how would we know?  It is a fact that Cineplayer does not play back commercial Bluray, but should play back any that you burn yourself.

If the Acer software plays back commercial Bluray disc, then use it.

If you got a Burner or a Player on your PC it came with software to play it!

Unless you built your own, then it is the manufactures fault  laugh.gif
