I was hoping to find in the custom settings which does not exist is the ability to just pull out certain minutes of a title rather than the entire title. Cinematize has this ability to user select the exact segment of a movie you wish to deal with. Popcorn2 just allows the entire chapter/vob section , I was hoping for finer customization than this... sometimes I just want a few minutes of a particular scene... I was hoping this was meant when they said director's type cutting but clearly its not....
Will or can this be added in the future ?

looks like you can include or leave out any title you want which is really cool for including only the extras I want but you can't trim and include only a specific segment in a title. i can't see many people wanting to remove 5 minutes from a movie but I guess it sort of makes sense.

I like to make collections of favorite comedy scenes from movies.
To have a collection of scenes on my psp or ipod video is great , I really dont want or need the entire movie or chapter but just the sections I want....

Have you tried MPEG Streamclip? It requires QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component for MPEG-2 playback and conversion but that's $40 cheaper than Cinematize.

I may be looking for a similar solution ..... I've recorded some shows off of TiVo (for personal use, thank you) that I wish to personalize with chapter markers, and to possibly even cut out the commercials.
The DVD recorder adds generic chapter markers (every 5-6 minutes or so), but that is not really that helpful.
I believe the Streamclip option came up for me before, and I need to look further into it.

Toast 7 and MPEG Streamclip together can do what Pixe VRF Browser does (and sometimes more reliably). If you have those then all you'd need is CaptyDVD 2 because of your desire to place specific chapter markers.
Those apps are sold at www.pixela-1.com. Also, CaptyDVD 2 is bundled with the LaCie FastCoder which is sold online at lacie.com.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
