I have yet to purchase Popcorn3 because I want to know if it does what I want. I'd like to be able to convert a dvd (movie or tv show) into a file that wil be compatible with BOTH my iPhone AND my PSP? Does Popcorn3 give you that option for converting or does it make your choose one or the other? Thanks in advance for any help and input. Right now I'm using a free program that lets me rip both into a single MP4 file rather than having one for each device, but the processing time is LOOONG. So I was hoping to find out if a program like Popcorn 3 would get the same results but FASTER.

AGAIN, any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend Toast 9 over Popcorn 3 because the Toast is more capable and better updated to work with new systems and hardware.

The preset for either application for PSP is MPEG-4, 320x240, 29.97 fps video with 24 khz stereo MPEG 4 audio. Custom settings are also possible. My understanding is these specs are compatible with iPhone although at a lower resolution than what iPhone is capable of supporting so the picture will look less sharp.

As for dealing with long encoding time you should check into ElGato's Turbo.264 which works with either Popcorn 3 or Toast 9. It is a hardware h.264 MPEG-4 encoder than can speed up the process to nearly real time. However, I don't know if a PSP can play h.264 MPEG-4 video.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Is there a way to get your movies/purchased DVD content onto the iPhone with Popcorn 3?

Yes, Popcorn can do this if the source is not encrypted with copy protection.
