Menus on my stand alone dvd player work fine except for the highlighting not being exactly centered. But every dvd playing software I use on the PC either I can't click on a menu selection or the highlighting is so off that its off the screen. Anyone else having this problem?

Check your screen resolution - it may be set too low to handle the media
As it works on a standalone, it has to be graphics related on the PC
I never got a menu title centred myself on TV playback - but never worried about it

Commericial dvds on the pc work fine, ie I'm able to select menu items and the highlighting on the menu is fine. But menus created with mydvd either have the highlighting of the item totally off or I'm not able to select or highlight with the mouse. Anyone else experiencing this?

I would still be tempted to check on the PC settings - as you say, it works on a standalone but you have a menu problem only on the PC.
To me that suggests something amiss in the playback settings on the PC rather than the buirn (which must have been successful or it wouldn't play at all)

Once you add the titles to the menu are you moving them around?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
