How do I make a music CD-R from another music CD-R that contains tracks from analog sources? I recorded a CD-R on my home stereo stand-alone burner that contains both CD songs and vinyl record songs transferred to a CD-R. Then, I take that CD-R to my HP that has an OEM Sonic Digital Media Plus v7, and here's what happens: It does it's typical "Transferring files" for about 6 minutes. Then it does it's typical "Writing disc, please wait..." where it starts at 80:00....but it actually goes at real time for 80 stinkin' minutes, at which time when it's supposed to be finished (it never really does), it has only locked up my HP and I can't get out of the program or even retrieve my discs!
My question, therefore, is: If I have no problem making CD-R's on my computer from other CD's, what am I doing wrong on this attempt? I have 3G of memory, so I have plenty of power, but does my Sonic product not have the capacity to do this? Is it really that big of a problem? Gotta be simpler than what I think!

Was the CD you did on your stand-alone burner finalized? Can you rip from the CD to your PC and then burn to a CD?
The source of the files is irrelevant - to a CD and the PC everything is digital. The analag source sources were converted to digital when you burned to CD on your stand-alone burner. There is no "analog transfer" involved when you "copy" from CD to CD.

You've told us what software suite you're using, but you haven't told us anything about which part of it you're using or what you're asking it to do.
What are you actually doing on this attempt? Are you trying to 'copy disc' or to 'rip' the disc to files on your hard drive ?? If copying, are you using one drive or two ??
Some details or a blow-by-blow please, so we can help you.
